We offer sedation dentistry to our patients who feel they need a little extra help relaxing. In many cases, sedation dentistry means that patients leave with little or no memory of the dental procedure and virtually no post-operative soreness. With a dose of medication, we can make you very comfortable for any procedure that you might need.
During oral conscious sedation, defined as a minimally depressed level of consciousness, patients actually maintain their own airway and reflexes, which means they can respond to physical and verbal stimuli. Sometimes incorrectly referred to as sleep dentistry, sedation dentistry lets our patients enter a state of deep relaxation, but they can answer our questions or fulfill our requests during treatment.
